Stifle/CCL Brace

The Pet Ortho Stifle Brace is  provides knee support while  stabilizing the femur and tibia to  prevent anterior translation and minimize the stress on the CCL. The  metal joints help prevent unwanted  axial rotation in the knee joint along with medial/ lateral support. This allows the pet to maintain a natural  range of motion and gait.

Knee injuries and cruciate tears are  the most common injuries in dogs.  A custom stifle brace stabilizes the knee joint after injury or during surgical recovery.  It is possible your dog may need a brace on the other limb to protect against excessive wear while the affected side heals.

Evaluation and Treatment Plans
Evaluation

Our certified clinicians work with pet owners and veterinarians to understand the underlying condition and recommended treatment.  If your pet has already been evaluated, please contact us or we can provide an overview before you see the veterinarian. Evaluations can be done at our Scottsdale, AZ clinic or at veterinary clinics in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area.

Custom Fabrication

Each animal has unique anatomy, so each orthotic and prosthetic device is custom molded and fabricated to your pet, ensuring the best outcome during the healing process.  Our team has 20+ years experience designing custom prosthetics and orthotics. See our fabrication video on our YouTube channel.

Fitting & Adjustments

Once fabrication is complete, your pet will be fit with their brace or device. We’ll make sure it has proper fit and function to achieve the desired outcome.  Fittings are done in our Scottsdale, AZ clinic, where we’ll provide instructions and test the device on your pet, making sure the animal moves appropriately while healing.

Ongoing Treatment

Our treatment protocol includes follow up appointments during the 14 week healing process to make any adjustments needed.  We work closely with veterinarians, make adjustments as needed and can do follow ups at our clinic or your vet’s office in the Phoenix area. We want to make sure your pet has an optimal outcome, so our team is happy to support you during the healing process.

CCL Brace Video

I highly recommend this company to help your pup run free again. Thanks to David, my dog Spot is now healed from a CCL tear with no surgery needed.

I 100% would suggest this treatment and care to anyone looking for a surgery alternative!
